How do you identify, target, attract and recruit students onto your programme?
Our focus is to interact with diverse, and excellent candidates and our attraction programme enables us to do so.
Our Taylor Wessing specific in-house events are a key attraction piece of the campaign. We offer both virtual and in person open days, ensuring accessibility for all, where potential candidates can ask our lawyers direct questions.
We also run sector spotlight webinars, allowing students unique access to senior members of the firm to hear about our sectors and the cases we work on. This differentiates us from the market.
Sponsorship of 11 university societies ensures we are interacting with target students to advise them of our summer vacation scheme opportunities. This includes two African-Caribbean societies, four gender based societies and one LGBT+ society which won awards. All societies we worked with had a unique TW event.
Mentoring plays a key role in supporting aspiring solicitors. Our Black Aspiring Solicitors Scheme ran across three months and saw a mixture of employability and mentoring sessions. We successfully converted 50% of BASS mentees to vacation scheme attendees.
I thoroughly enjoyed the open day: it was genuinely the most comprehensive, well-structured, and enjoyable firm event that I have been to
Our Brand Ambassadors
Our brand ambassador campaign saw representatives across a mixture of both non-russell group and Russell group universities. We reviewed the makeup of each university to ensure they were diverse and where we had seen previous success.
Our Instagram account has allowed us to engage through interactive polls, Q&A's, lives and informative posts. We build a connection with our followers through personal posts, showing the face of the Early Talent team and being responsive.
